KlotzBanshee
Wow that looks painful! I think that pic just changed my attitude towards studded tires on the shee. Heal guards and some good riding boots might have saved him some of the sharks teeth.
dajogejr
At 70 to 100 MPH nothing short of metal protection would've stopped that. He had insulated carhartts on. You know how tough the material is of Carhartt overalls, his looked like wet shredded paper towel after that. He had cuts from his ankle to his asshole, literally... That was the last time my bike was on the ice, and it might be the last time ever... We all take risks just riding period, but the images in my head when that happened bothered me for quite some time. When we're at the track and he's got shorts on...those images come back like it happened yesterday... One of our friends said, well...looks like his modeling career is over... He's a trooper though...he's just a good story to tell now from the scars.
broke as a joke
wow... thats rough. I think I may put the heel guards back on when I put the studed tires on...
87sheerips
Damn, give me the chills everytime I see these pics!! I love ice riding so much, but its hard to imagine that happening to yourself! Might take it easy on the ice this year, AND moving forward.... Funny how it takes this to happen to a local rider to put sense into your brain
alcoholbanshee
I gave up ice riding a few years before the accident with Frank....... I saw pretty much the same thing on a dirt track in Kentucky. It was horrible, and I said I would never ride studs again................
