Heavy hitter Posted October 12, 2009 Report Share Posted October 12, 2009 I have blown two dome orings on the same cylinder in three weeks i know a guy that said the high compression orings are hard to find The bike runs bad ass as soon as i go through the trap and let off the gas it lets loose left cylinder compression oring Every time i think one carb is running out of fuel before the other and going lean one plug is brown and the other is A grayish almost white color on the side that took the shit. should i install a fuel pump its 1/8 mile the bike is on Keihn35's with big bowls on alky any info would help Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Likely that is it toasting on the exhaust side of the dome. If you are running out of fuel, you should address that issue and it should fix the problem. Standard Orings will typically hold an alky 16:1 motor. I would recommend studying fuel flow restrictions first. kawiking Posted October 23, 2009 Report Share Posted October 23, 2009 hows ur plugs look ? maybe the orings arent sealing or getting pinched. i use vaseline on my o-rings when i install them . look for any dents in the domes or head. are u torqueing the head to spec ? Heavy hitter Posted October 24, 2009 Author Report Share Posted October 24, 2009 The bike has a vitos hemi head 18 cc domes on stock cylinders ported pretty agressive 4mill v force reeds boss one piece intake 35mm keihns sittin on big boss bowls alky The main jet is a 113 not shure on the pilot we bumped it up to a 116 main and put a set of 19 cc domes in not exactly shure on what the mechanic cut them to dropped the compression down to about 185 it was 200 So as soon as the rain lets up im goin to the track and see what shee will do Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

badassbanshee479 Posted October 27, 2009 Report Share Posted October 27, 2009 check the head and the top of the cylinders and make sure they are true and flat... had this problem on my 4 mill and ended up being to tight of squish and the top of the cylinder was not completely flat do you know what the dump tube is drilled to in the carbs? cause if its not drilled bigger than the main jets you have in it putting bigger mains in it will not add anymore fuel.... also are you running power jets? I have had no problems running my 4 mill cub 660ft with no pump.... just 39mm pwks and billet bowls.... Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
