just rebuild the motor got some port work done and hard to start the bike have to kick it for like 20min and it will start if i put starter fluid to the carbs it starts right up though. Also when i ride it when i hit the throttle all the way to take off it sputters alot and i hold it for a while while it sputters all of a sudden it just takes off and its all good from there go through the gears fine but when i come to the stop and try it again it does the same thing whats the problem im running 330 mains and 30 pilot and stock needles on the middle slot. NEEED HELLLLP.

We need more info, such as mods, elevation, and temperature. It's lean, and that's why it's hard to start. How many turns open are the air mixture screws?

i have 30 pilots and 320mains and i tried the screws turn half one one in a half two and two in a half and still the same im 42ft above sea level and the temp is about 70 degrees

I would clean the carbs with Break Cleaner and then blow out every whole and opening with air. Do the float bowls have fuel in them? It sounds like you are not getting fuel.

I would run the following:

300 Mains

27.5 Pilot

2 Turns on the Air screws

Set the needles to the middle position to start with.

You definitely want to make sure the carbs are in sync.

Also make sure the bowls didnt get switched from side to side as they ARE different. The one with the lil bb at the bottom goes on the choke knob side!

still need to know what your mods are?(pipes, filter(s), reeds, timing, cool/milled head...etc..)

as potpye said, make sure your carbs are synced. the problem you are having sounds similar to that of others that just had theyre cylinders ported and it turned out to be carbs that werent 100% synced.
