Damnit Bob
Ive heard that some people use an R6 rear shock.. is this a direct fit? wouldnt the ride be rough as hell? Also, while were at it,what other makes or models would you try?
Damnit Bob
really?! nobody knows anything about rear shocks?
donkeypuncher
im pretty sure the r6 shock is used for flat tracking as it makes the ride height a little lower and stiffer.
RippinShee
I extended my swingarm +6, and have my rear sock set on the stiffest setting, but It still bottoms out when going over big whoops or bumps. Will an r6 shock be the correct choice for me as a stiffer shock?
racer
A new spring would be the right choice. If you can find the spring rates available, do some math, you might have the right setup for it to work.
bbcmudtruck
An R6 shock is used for flat track racing. It will lower your bike about three inches in the rear. You won't be able to trail ride your bike anymore with an R6 either. This is how low your rear end will sit with an R6 in the rear.
RippinShee
So i will need a new spring? Where will i get one, and how will i know which one?
bbcmudtruck
You may need to revalve your shock also. Email this guy:--> momentum133@gmail.com His name is Shane, he can hook you up with the correct spring and revalve your shock if need be. Damnit Bob
so a new spring/revalve sound like what i need too. I just cant bring myself to spend 600-800$ on one single rear shock. has anyone used something other than R6 shock?
