RippinShee
Ive been using Amsoil Dominator, simply beacuse it smells amazing. But now I can get Klotz locally and not Amsoil. So is there any Klotz oil that smells bad ass as Amsoil>?

spurdy
Dont know about the smell good part but I use the Super TechniPlate. X2. SuperTechniplate is a good oil. If you want something that smells good buy the fuel fragrances. SP
captainhowdie
I used supertechniplate for about a year and i liked it, but every builder i talk to tells me its garbage and to use maxima castor
Paul M
Now I am confused I have alway heard super techniplate was the best? I have used them both I always use stp in my alky bike but when i was on gas i used 927 I love the smell but I did notice the 927 oil will seperate from the gas and run to the bottom of the can ! stp stay mixed very well

The only bad thing i was told about the supertechniplate is the chalky residue that builds up on the pistons and in the exhaust.
black sunshine
I use R50, it is 100% synthetic. I have had no issues with it, burned about 4 gallons through the bike so far. It is nice because whenever I try to order Supertechniplate it is on backorder, but the R50 is usually in stock. And yes, it smells purdy
papa_smurf49319
im pretty sure its all opinon, but ive always ran 927, and jim at passion told me thats the only oil to run. 32:1 and the shit smells good to!
Duneman101
I've been using klotz R50 for like 10 years, proabably a couple hundred tanks of gas. it's always been great. used it in banshees, blasters, kx500, trx250r, and a couple chainsaws. jbooker82
Klotz Supertechniplate. It is 80% synthetic and 20% Benol Caster Oil. Combines the clean burning properties of synthetic oil with the super tough protection of caster oil. Klotz Benol and Maxima 927 both seperate at lower temps because they contain a high amount of caster oil. 927 still has some synthetic ester oil blended in with the caster oil, while Klotz Benol is 100% caster oil. Smokestack
Anyone use the smokeless stuff? I bought some because it was on sale. Seems to do good so far. Its the maxima super M. Ester based. I like the smokeless idea but im a n00b
KlotzBanshee
I also use Klotz R50 32:1 and have been for years with good results.
Coupelx
i used to run 927 but the oily residue and buildup on everything was unreal. been running yamalube this year and love it. spark plugs last way longer too.
Overboost
I uas amsoil dominator and after 900 miles of riding, pulled the head to swap a gasket and the pistons are cleaner than they were a year ago. all the carbon gunk is gone and the domes looked perfect, no residue, no build up, just a nice clean piston with an even black coat on it. dont get much better than that in my opinion. Driggs
Overboost....what ratio are you running? I'm going to switch to Amsoil after my rebuild.
