fixitrod
Depends on price of course but the most important thing would be that nothing be taken away from the site we currently have. I won't be up to answering the poll until there is more information available. I do like the idea of you improving the site (how that can be done... I don't know  ) and I do understand it taking funding whether it be for software or motivation for you to find the time. Keep us up to date on this Lee. BenBB
My first impulse would be no, primarily because 99% of the time I'm broke, but there's also the whole "free exchange of ideas on the internet" thing. On the other hand, in the real world shit's not free, it costs someone some bucks to run the server, their time invested, etc. Kind of a double-edged sword. I'm with Fixitrod, what's a ballpark figure here? What kinda benefits you have in mind? Any way that the yearly fee can be tied into an AATVA (or whatever it is) and/or Blue Ribbon Coalition membership? I dunno if they'd offer discounts for clubs or anything but it could be a nice incentive. Here's another idea; setting up one-time forums for certain ATV gods (the likes of Stuart Toomey, Dan @ Patriot, Gary Denton, etc.), where we can all ask questions and get their responses (I know chat rooms do this but I like forums better; take a week to submit questions, close the forum for input, have the person check 'em out, and reply after a week: then the info is there whenever you want to reference it). Might be a stupid idea but what the hell. And hey, if it works out mebbe I can do some nudie wallpapers without fear of warping some poor child's mind, although you might not wanna tout that as one of the membership perks, heh (kinda hard to pay for porn on the internet when so much is free). Anyway, I'd back you up IF you still maintained a free forum for the non-hardcore guys that register once just to ask about something like rattling kickstarters, get an answer, and then bail... eehsnab2
I like the fact that this site is free and gives good information out to beginners who would be lost otherwise. I think a lot of new timers would be discouraged if they had to pay. On the otherhand... I'd be more than willing to pay for a premier account and help out! Screamin_Demon
I'm up for it if it's not too expensive. I know one thing that would get a lot of the hardcore posters on here to sign up... a larger image storage limit for the premium users. I like being able to upload images on here instead of finding somewhere to host them and then trying to link to them, but the 1 meg limit is kind of annoying. Some images are posted in reference to repairs or what not and you end up having to delete them to make room for more, which in turn does not allow someone to see the images later on down the road, but yet your post says.... "here's some pics of what it looks like..." and you're stuck with a big blank spot. Also... an option to block out posts of people that are annoying would be nice. God knows no one wants to read anything posted by dickydune, deathmeatbeater666, (the list goes on). I get a bit annoyed seeing stupid threads by people griping about all the posts that don't exactly relate to the threads, and how it's useless info and not important... but yet evidentally they feel like they have to read the "useless info. and non-important stuff" just so they can gripe about it. Just a few thoughts though.

Cotton eyed Joe
How bout updateing from MS-Sql to mysql... Lee I will find a crack of that program for you 8) They should be payin me to visit this site  LMAO!!! I'll send you a $1.37. Seriously, those sound like good ideas. Perhaps some "perks" for the premium users that kind of goes above and beyond what is already here. I think what most people like about his site however is the abundance of free info. I was a newbie once, and this site has taught me about 90% of what I now sort of know about the Banshee.
