dco3100
Iv'e never heard of the plastic gear breaking but im pretty sure it has happened. Just wondering if its something to maybe consider... http://cgi.ebay.com/BANSHEE-WATER-PUMP-DRIVE-GEAR-DRAG-RACE-CARB-CHROME_W0QQitemZ170387229675QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item27abdecbeb&_trksid=p4999.c0.m14#ht_500wt_924

I'm curious what the weight diffences are between the plastic and aluminum ones...or if more or less weight would even make a diff. Brandon (blowit) makes these if I am not mistaken. look:http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=121179&st=0&p=1052184&fromsearch=1entry1052184
HiRoller
Wish I would have heard of this a few months ago when my gear broke and I couldn't find an aftermarket replacement.
Whitbread
About bloody time! After having broke a gear almost every year, I'll be picking one of these up .
blowit
Yeah, its a pretty nice piece. I'm curious what the weight diffences are between the plastic and aluminum ones...or if more or less weight would even make a diff. Brandon (blowit) makes these if I am not mistaken. look:http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=121179&st=0&p=1052184&fromsearch=1entry1052184 We did compare weight and IIRC the AL gear is about double the weight of the plastic one but we are talking a few ounces here and you would not lose any power over it. OK, maybe .001HP. The price to be paid if the plastic one breaks is a different matter... Thanks B

blowit
I did stumble onto our tech data for that gear this morning. We have the OEM gear weighed at 16 grams and our billet replacement gear at 34 grams. This a little over a 1/2 oz more weight if someone is counting.. Thanks Brandon Mull Engineering
