bansheedude1
I have just purchased a set of toomey tr6 pipes. So all together my shee now has: toomey t'6 pipes(270 jetting), v-force 3 reeds, k&n air filter pods. I am going to get +4 timing plate and bigger carbs here soon. But i need to know what gear ratio would get me my desired top end. i heard toomey tr6 have high rpms for none ported engines so i bought a set for 250$ on craigs list. I would like to at least be able to do high 70's - mid 80's(mph)in top end. Not faster or slower. I am at stock gearing right now which i believe is 14/42 and i get right at 72 mph. would 15/41 get me to high 70s if not more? I have been thinking about getting porting done but im unsure weather it would take to much reliability out of the quad or not. Unless i really need it for the top end im hoping for. any advice would be strongly appreciated, thanks in advance guys.
