92bansh
My 87 died this past weekend. I pulled the jugs off and the right side piston ring is fried. Not a big deal. The problem is with the jugs off and the pistons free the motor still wont turn. Does this mean my crank is seized? i really dont want to have to rebuild the entire motor. that gets really expensive. Please any help or ideas would be great.

As and engine builder, I am giving you sound advice. Buy a Clymer manual and follow it on crank inspection and go from there. If the rods are not free, there is a big problem. I have been able to save a few that felt seized but usually frags get in the bearings. Even if it "feels" free, once bearings have been damaged, their life cycle shortens quickly.
