jimjim Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 I just got a Banshee that came with a PRM swingarm skid, its about the size of a dinner plate, looks like a TURD.Does anyone know of a smaller or better looking skid? Thanks in advance. Quote
Powerstroke Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 The best mod I have done was throwing away my skid plate. Quote
papa_smurf49319 Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 (edited) Whys that? Whats wrong with the stocker? Its saved my ass end a couple of times, had to pry it out from the rotor once because i got a rock! If your dune riding maybe i could see getting rid of it, but id rather have one on, theres no reason not to run it besides maybe a little bit of weight savings. Im sure others will chime in, maybe im wrong and there is a good reason to get rid of it, i just dont see it. As far as other skidders to try i dont know the stock one seems to do the trick. Powerstroke Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 I find i am hung up on it all the time it added an inch and a half ground clearance taking it off. I will take my chances with it gone. Quote
BlasterKX Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 also sucks if you throw your chain and trying to put it back on with the stock skid in your way. Quote
sandman81 Posted September 16, 2009 Report Posted September 16, 2009 Ive only hung up when drag racing, starting line. Ive replaced 4 chains with the stock skid on and no problems. All aftermarket ones I've seen look the same. Unless you go with stock. Quote

FireHead Posted September 17, 2009 Report Posted September 17, 2009 DG and AC have made reasonable looking skides in the past. Quote
Drewski Posted September 17, 2009 Report Posted September 17, 2009 take a look at the pro armor skids, they look good and hold up well Quote
SAVAGE420 Posted September 17, 2009 Report Posted September 17, 2009 Yup Pro Armour are really nice and beefy as all hell. I run them on my arms belly and the swinger. Had them for almost 3 seasons now, put them through some good beatings in the mountains and there is just some scraps and what not. Very stong. Just there pricy. But with anything you get what you pay for. Dont make me post pics of mine. Quote
stink989 Posted September 23, 2009 Report Posted September 23, 2009 i have an AC skid and it hasnt held up to bad i treat it pretty bad and its been welded and straightend a few times Quote
