glamisaurus
Just split my motor apart and found the crank bearing outer race is turning in the case. The nub on the bearing is making a groove in the lower case half. Had this happen on another motor so I used my mig welder to make the nub bigger. Wondering if this is normal. This motor just had the top end done for the first time and was a bolt-on bike. The last one was a stock stroke T-Rex. Knowing too much about bearings, I sure would not be welding on a bearing race... I think you may want to dry fit your cases together and have the bores mic'd to see what the total interference is. The races really should not move. There are, however, some products by loctite designed to b put on bearing races for such a thing. I think careful inspection of the bearings and cases should be first. Brandon
