bbcmudtruck Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 First of all, you have some nice clean bikes! Second, you didn't clean the carbs good if you didn't pull the jets and blow them out. Is there any chance you put the slides in backwards? While looking into the back of the carb when its on the bike, the cut away (half moon shape) should be facing you on the carb slide. Also, check to make sure that your choke tube (rubber hose) is connected between the two carbs. Quote

bbcmudtruck Posted September 14, 2009 Report Posted September 14, 2009 Did you remove ALL of the TORS? Also, take your stator cover off and make sure water didn't get in there and corrode the pickup or flywheel. Also check the spark plug caps to make sure they aren't full of rust. Clean them out real good with some sand paper. Kinda sounds like its an electrical problem. Quote

Larry's Shee Posted September 15, 2009 Report Posted September 15, 2009 Make sure you use a flywheel puller. Make sure poles on stator are clean/no rust. Clean lugs on outside of flywheel for pick-up coil (no rust), clean pick-up coil, gap .018 - .020. X-2 on plug caps. Quote
