BasicBajaX
Also...you're running stock carbs. All the exhaust in the world isn't going to help when you're restricting how much air/fuel you can get into the motor... How aggressive is the port job? I think, and correct me if I'm wrong for making this assumption, but you want to bolt on a set of pipes that make power to beat your buddy with CPIs? If that's the case...you're doing it backwards. Pipes are the icing on the cake...not the main ingredients. Not trying to sound like an ass...just telling it how it is and being honest. I will use this advise myself until I can afford some bigger carbs and shearers...I bought some dmc916 for my stock bike but in between getting them my bike ran into problems and now I have 421 cub with stock carbs and the 916's, probably not the best setup but until I can afford to go with bigger carbs I think I will hold off on the shearers and have it all done at once. I wonder how trail friendly it will be the way it is?

sleeper06
I have had four diffrent set of shearers, two used two new.The used sets were not show chrome so I wasnt expecting anything. The second set I called matt shearer and he made me a set of inframes to fit with an air box this was show chrome and were flawless and still are.The last set was my oofs I have sent them back twice and am still not happy.I was told thats the best chrome im gonna get for $100 and hes probably rite.He offered them to me raw with a refund 4 the chrome but I waited so long I kept them.Like dajogejr said get them raw and chrome them yourself.Still the best drag pipe out there

okbeast
Yeah I've never understood why the fitment is so off. On mine I had to shim the left side out but there's a good 1 1/2" of clearance on teh right side. I think it has to do with the motor being a bit offset in the frame, someone correct me if I'm wrong? On the chrome I got a set of mint used ones. The chrome is ok, it's very soft unlike the T-5 chrome I used to have. And there is a few pinholes in some of the welds that leak out some nasty oil crap but other than that they're great
