blowit
Just thought I would drop a line at the HQ on another new design from us. After some careful attention in the water pump area, we discovered several inefficiencies of other billet impeller designs that causes mild cavitation and lack of coolant system pressure which can lead to vapor lock and poor engine cooling. Ours was designed with some rather modern fluid dynamic principles and has shown a nice boost in coolant pressures and positive circulation. We also noticed most impellers use a stainless shaft that is rather inferior to the OE setup due to the softer steel and lack of lubrication coating that the stock shaft has. These 2 things can lead to excessive shaft and seal wear. We decided to reuse the OEM shaft. By doing this, we were able to offer the part a bit cheaper and give you a better designed product. You simply cut the plastic impeller portion off and knock the shaft into the impeller head with a soft mallet and reassemble. Obviously if the OEM shaft is damaged for some reason, this system would not be ideal but we figured there is plenty of stock impellers laying around by now that are not worth anything. We have listed a couple of these on egay but will be a few days before we can ship. New batch still needs inspection and packaging.
