wheelie bar pics please...

going to build one just wantin to see some of what yal run. get some ideas. i got a 4mil cub janssen +2 swingarm. stock frame, elka rear shock, i shocks front w/ +a arms... just wantin to get some ideas see how yal designed and built yals... thanks.

 

pics of mine in this thread, its more of a saftey catch bar though incase i cant controll it. I havent had a problem with it preloading but have been told it should be the same length as your wheelbase for saftey.

Normally....

You make a 3 point bracket for your wheelie bar. Two points mount at the bottom pinch bolts (taking into consideration you bought a roundhouse carrier style arm) and the third is above the pinch bolts. A triangle of sort...if you will.

 

Most of us use a go kart type tire for it.

 

Here's the bracket I'm talking about at the back of the bike. It bolts to the pinch bolts on the carrier and the lower shock bolt.

thanks man that helps alot. only thing now is should i strut it? or how would it act if i did a design like you have and left my shock...? its an elka dual rate or whatever its nice really hate to take it off to put in a piece of steel lol. yes i have a plus 1 or 2 janssen swinger not sure which one it is.
