Snopczynski
I ran my led lights on some night rides and they worked really well. I was able to see very far and on the flats ride as fast as 6th gear tapped out. The helmet lgiht was probably one of the best light mods I have ever done, and it works awesome. The 3 led lights on the bike are way brighter than stockers and pull less wattage than the two stock headlights. The helmet light battery pack goes 8 hours on one charge. I had a pouch put in my kidney belt for the battery too. The videos of the lights are at the end. Solstice led lights pointed at a dune 150 yards away. You can see to the top of the dune. Stock banshee lights pointed at the same dune. My bike with the 3 led lights next to a raptor 700 with stock lights. The helmet light setup. A couple videos of the lights and me blinding my friends with my helmet light. http://s45.photobucket.com/albums/f80/Snopczynski/?action=view¤t=MOV01808.flv http://s45.photobucket.com/albums/f80/Snopczynski/?action=view¤t=MOV01809.flv

Whitbread
Very nice. What a huge difference. No kidding. Impressive. How much do those solstice led lights run?
Snopczynski
Just the lights run $105.00 each.
Whitbread
Just the lights run $105.00 each. That's not bad at all. I just may have to pick up a pair of them before I head to wellsville at the end of september. Who has them for 105? The cheapest I saw them on the net was for 119.99. Who has them for 105? The cheapest I saw them on the net was for 119.99. I sell them. I cut a deal to forum members. The only other cost is shipping, which usually in the lower 48 states is only $7-$10 for up to 4 of them. They have to be ran DC, they have a 9v-50v transformer in them that works off direct current. I did the full battery kit and dc conversion in my bike. I have been told they will run straight off of a dc conversion with no battery. Other option is to buy battery packs and run them, then recharge the battery packs when your done. I could probably make a jumper harness to make 1 battery pack run 2 lights at the same time. The battery packs are fairly small, and easy to deal with.
okbeast
What kind of run times could you get out of a rechargeable battery pack? As you know from earlier conversations I'm wanting to do some sort of setup but only need it maybe 2 times out of the year for just a little night-riding so don't wanna spend alot but love the light output of these. I already did the dc conversion and have a battery laying around I could pop in if need be.
Snopczynski
The battery pack will run a single helmet light for 8 hours straight.
okbeast
The battery pack will run a single helmet light for 8 hours straight. Are the helmet lights the same power draw as the others (euro, spot, etc.)? I couldn't really tell by the picture, but didn't figure they were. Snopczynski
It's the same exact light. I can take any of the lights off the bike and wear them on the helmet. The only differences are the lens diffusers.
rubberneck
snope, you can hook us up with the battery packs and harness and everything required to do the helmet light right? what beam are you using on the helmet? Im thinking maybe a driving beam on the helmet and a spot and driving beam on the handlebars. What do you think
Snopczynski
I can get everything for the helmet light. The switches are going to be ready in about 2 weeks. I use a spot on the helmet light. On my bike I have a euro, a spot, and a flood.
okbeast
Hm, this battery pack idea makes this very tempting. I'm assuming you have prices for all that stuff too?
Snopczynski
Yeah, I just need to know what you want to do and I can figure out pricing and the best way to do it.
