Infamous039
I just got my 28mm PWK carbs, but they have this gold inlet right next to the choke. Can someone please let me know what plugs into that gold inlet???? Im not sure if I should connect the hose from the bottom of the carb to it or should it be closed off. Please see pics of what I am talking about on the carb. Thanks Edited August 21, 2009 by Infamous039
Building my First
If it was a poxer jet itwould have a tube hanging down into the bore. Looks like a vacuum fitting or maybe your supposed to connect the carbs together, like a stock balance tube.

dragbanshee
Sorry, I read something about this on here before and cannot for shit, remember what they said. Im thinking they said it did not make a difference in running when plugged or not.
Infamous039
Yea I think the guy who had them before me installed them I guess. Do you guys think I should just plug them together to make sure no dirt or water get in the carb??????
Building my First
I just got some too, look just like yours. I was about to start a thread when I came across yours. They don't look like any power jet I have ever seen, there is no jet installed in the bowl. I would like a definite answer too.
Infamous039
Maybe just link them together like a crossover tube??? What do you guys think???????
Building my First
I'm just going to get a 20 or 30 HP shot of Nitrous and hook it up to them. Or maybe just put rubber caps on them, since I have the stock balance tube.

Do you guys think I should just plug them together to make sure no dirt or water get in the carb?????? The biggest worry if you don't plug them is that you'll have extra air coming into the intake causing the engine to run lean. I also have them on my 28's and i just put a tube between them both. My guess is that it's acually for seperate oil lubrication like on the RZ350.
Snopczynski
Oil injection, or vac. take off for a vac. operated fuel pump?
BillyRay
The fittings are indeed for oil injection.
AKheathen
the vac there, is utilized to run a high altitude comphensator valve, which applies vaccuume to the bowls at higher altitude, to lean it off. it could be oil injection, too. a fuel pump would have to be run from the crank to get a good enough pulse. what does it look like inside the bore?
