Meat
K, I wanna get rid of my handlebar mounted headlight switcherkill switch contraption. I wanna hook my lights up to a toggle switch which im gonna mount somewhere in the tank cover plastic. Last night I unbolted the switch and took it off my handlebars. There were 5 wires going to the light switch, a blue one, green one, a yellow one, a yellow one with a red stripe.... and one more wire that I cant remember the color. There were only 2 wires going to the kill switch, a black one and a black one with a white stripe. I only looked at the switch and wires for 5 minutes, I know I could figure out what wires I need to make my headlights work, but I was hoping someone might know what color wires I need to attach to my toggle switch to make my headlights work. and what do I need to do with the 2 kill switch wires? I lost my haynes manual, and there's NOTHING on the banshee zone about wiring either

Cotton eyed Joe
Meat, I swear to God I was doing this yesterday.......... The black and black w/white stripe are the klll of course, the 2 yellows are hot, the yellow w/red stripe is high beam, the solid yellow is low, and I think the blue goes to the tail light, and anything else is prolly a ground. I am doing this from memory, so if you burn your house down, you don't know me. P.S. On my banshee, and this pissed me off, both wires are yellow with no stripe, I will have to just figure out which is which.
rzcolobanshee
I've been thru this alot It's quite simple actually, the blue wire is the hot wire, it comes into the switch and power is sent to either the green or yellow based on the switch position, one of the yellow wires does nothing, i'm guessing it was for the starter button on the warrior. The black wire is a ground and the b/w wire goes back to the cdi, when the switch is on the off position it completes the circuit to the ground, so the cdi gets grounded and it dies. If you allready have a tether hooked up (I think you do) then leave the wires disconected. If you just want high beams on the lights then just run the blue wire to a switch and the yellow wire on the other side going to the lights.....
