Your pilots are new eh? Are they by chance 27.5's? Alot of people run those but everyones bike is different. I have a 95 banshee with pro circuits, K&N pods, outerwears, boyesen rad valves, and am at 330ft and mix at 40:1 and I tried the 27.5's as suggested to me and my bike ran like garbage, waaaayy to rich on the bottom end, I put the stock 25's back in and it runs like a 12 year old in michal jacksons bedroom!

So this morning I tore down the top end and inspected everthing ther. The cylinders are perfect, no scratches no marks. The pistons and the rings are excellent too. I checked my reeds and also look new, I just gave them a cleaning and put it back together. All new gaskets. I cleaned my intake boots and air filter box so there is no dirt on it. I took my carbs apart and cleaned like there is no tomorrow. Cleaned the pilot screw, choke tube, mains (270), pilots (27.5), and checked the float height as it was within spec. 1.5 turns out on the screw. Put new spark plugs at .30 gap. So once everything was ready I gave it a try and nothing, absoluteley nothing. I then took the plugs out and put some carb cleaner in there. I gave it just one kick and started for about 2 seconds and diead again. What now? Thanks for the help everyone!

did you use new gaskets first of all?? and secondly just because everything looks good dosent mean anything. theres a thing called clearence. that need to be met for a good running machine. your cylinders are most likely worn past the limit an will need to be bored. you should only go .50 over. the sleeves wear not the rings because there steel bore not nicasil unfortunately. hope this helps.
