RippinShee
are you guys seriously running 9 seconds in the 1/4 mile? wtf?
dajogejr
I'm pretty sure it's 1/8 mile to 1000 foot... If they're running low 9s in the 1/4 on a banshee, I'd like to know what they are running motor/chassis wise.
RippinShee
What should a bike like mine lay down in a 1/4 mile?
4strokekilla1987
i was told that mine should be putting low 7s to high 6s on the 1/8 but i guess there is only one way to find out and that is to take it to the track
dajogejr
What should a bike like mine lay down in a 1/4 mile? With a 13 tooth front? 9's in the 1/8 mile... Without knowing the weight of the bike, your weight...skill, etc. I'd say high 7s to mid 8s.

dajogejr
12s....give or take, again...without knowing a bunch of variables. For example....back in high school, we took a stocker and went from 74mph to 77 by just removing the front fenders.... No BS.

Seems like a 1/4 is a long way for a banshee. don't know never tried but I think 12's are legit.

There is only one way to find out.

I slip the clutch just like the sportbike guys do. launch in 2nd about half throttle and i increase throttle as i let the clutch grab more. i've gotten it down to were i barly ride the wheelie bar till i shift. best pass has been a 8.1 at 89mph.... i was missing shifts BAD all night. i can get into low 7's easy. stock cyl stock stroke on alky +4 and 6' wheelie bar
