swepzz
ok a little while back the right cylinder quite working so i started investigating. discovered one of the rings fried and that scratched up the cylinder wall so i polished the cylinders reall good. i figured that while i got it torn aprt ill take the crank out to have it checked and the shop said that from the old bearings and it rattling or something it morphed, so biggie...i found a kit with a +4mm stroke crank and pistons with all the gaskets and a 4mm spacer plate. i threw all this stuff togetter and shes running killer, better then ever! pistons are 65mm now by the way.. now im addicted, im planning to put a new head on her. i've decided to go with a noss head and after much research i've decided to go with 21cc domes but earlier today i came across stroker domes....are these just reshaped for optimal use with stroker engines or are they cut out so i dont need to use that spacer plate? also a little further down the line i plan to get larger bore cylinders...i'de need new domes then yes? If you use the stroker domes with no spacer plate your stroke clearance will be ok but you will be changing the port timings and can cause it to run like shit. Best to talk to someone who does port work to get a good idea which way to go. If your going to go with big bore cylinders then you could have them ported for a 4 mil crack and no spacer plate at that time. SP
