The least amount of centrifugal mass that you can have, the faster you will go. Now I don't know if he really did lose that much time off his E.T., but I know you will lose some. dajogejr Posted August 4, 2009 Report Share Posted August 4, 2009 I guess anything is possible, I know you won't see 3 tenths in 300 foot, but pavement....never know. It is a lot less rotating mass. With any drag axle, you're also getting more adjustability for rear width. You want the rear tires sucked under neath you for traction. The trade off is stability.... blueshee03 Posted August 5, 2009 Report Share Posted August 5, 2009 I got a JJ&A gun drilled drag axle and it did help trim a little from my et's in 500ft dirt.As mentioned they are considerably lighter and allow for more adjustment of the rearend width. A new jj&a drag axle would be near the bottom of my list of things to do.... Only after you already had porting, override, lockup, etc. If you're maxxed out on mods to your current setup, and have the funds then I'd say go for it. I run them on all of mine.
