421 BUILD, looking for suggestions...

Recommended Posts

Im currently parting out the 2000 in my sig. Im looking to build a 421 cub with lockup, duneable overide, stock chassis, inframe shearers, 35mm Keihns on pump gas, and a +8 swinger.

My questions are;

What paddles are you running?

What gearing are you running on sand? asphalt?

Where did you get your cub cylinders?

How many horses are you making?

Who has the best price for what you get?

All suggestions and opinions welcomed!!

I hate to be a stickler, but you got 4 bikes in your sig, and you're asking these questions

yea but none of them a 421, complete opposite ends of the spectrum. With my experience and what iv'e ran on other bikes im guessing a 12pdl extreme either regular or staggard or even a 14pdl extreme. I jus started this to see exactly what works BEST on the same bike im building

Yea I have a few bikes, but im not an expert. If everyone with more than one bike knew everything, they're wouldnt be an HQ. Back to the help plz!

When I had my 421, I was running 12 paddle Haulers or 10 paddle extremes. Anything more than that, it would bog off the line.

For carbs, I was running 38 Keihins.

After some major porting and other goodies, I dynoed at 104hp and 57 torque.

For some sweet swingers, call Longhill Motorsport: 503-640-9922. The owner, Dan, makes his own swingers of all types. His welding is out of the world. He actually makes swingers for a major distributors that I cannot disclose.

PM me if you need more info. Good luck!

get a hold of kevin at herrjugsracing for the cub.you can't beat his quality, pricing and costumer service

What kind of costumes does he sell?? j/k, I couldn't resist

We need to know if this is for drag racing, dune racing, or riding. IF racing, how far? I can tell you what works for me in 300 ft on the track but that won't help ya at the dunes, with no wheelie bar.

Hope your putting that on a chassis. Go with the DM; unless your just needing something to fit in the 0-550 class.

u mean drag chassis? nooo i want it to APPEAR like its not as fast as it actually is  u know the semi-sleeper look, not really but kinda cool seeing a stock chassis shee whoop up on some drag frames and rigids

As for the mattoon cases, that'll be for the 1077cc Schmitar motor next year, already got it planned out baby, just need to get this fucking DM/SC on the map!
