DallasGDub
I want to know if you can you use this with a timing plate set at +4? I know the rev limiter does not make a difference, but it says it raises the curve. I was not 100% if you can use it with the plate, or do you make your adjustment accordingly so you do not over advance it. Thanks, Gary

notsed
all i can say is i did that and broke a skirt on a fresh motor. then i checked the timing curve on my cdi and it was already advancing 7* or so over stock in some areas (rm stator high rev cdi). i would check it out first.

I would say the side effects should be more along the lines of a hole in the top of the piston.

I do not know the story, but just maybe this was the reason behind it. I wonder if they even thought of that? Wildcard Racing had a great idea that I set my plate @ 0, and check the timing. Then bump it up from that point. I had an even better idea and sell this thing to someone that does not have a timing plate or degree key or has the skills to check it against the plate. Better safe than sorry. I will go back to the stock CDI.
