topo
i just bought a 2001 banshee and the person told me that it was bored out to 400cc. And that the oil to gas mixture should be 24 to 1 but all the post i have read say 32 to 1. which one is correct and is using 24 to 1 safe. thank you
AKheathen
24:1 is the mixture for a stock setup with stock jetting. it uses so little fuel that it needs the extra oil. 32:1 and up to 100:1 is for bikes running the good oils and large jetting sizes. The banshee has been jetted and reeds changed so i could move to 32:1?? I'm using 91 octane and amsoil.
AKheathen
well shit. looks like you have pipes too. bet it smokes alot. you're running good oil, have the mods and jetting, so you can go 32:1 or 40:1depending, then verify your main size is right with a proper plug chop. running less oil will give you more fuel. you can find how to do a proper plug chop by searching in the jetting section.
