Rodneya
Yes you can change it from the outside, just a bit fiddly to get out. take care not to nick the shaft while doing it though.
fastbanshee8
Take a screw, and run it several threads deep into the metal of the seal, grab it with a pair of pliers, and pull the seal out.
dragbanshee
Does anybody know if you can change the gear shifter seal form the outside or if u have to split the case. 99 banshee Thanks When I got mine 97 it was leaking, I thought damn Im going to have to tear the motor down, no such thing. I just got a small wood screw and screwed it up in there carefully thinking I would just grab it with some plyers and work it out. Well the screw worked as an easy out and worked the seal out as I screwed it in, worked great!
