Just got a 98 banshee and it is the first 2-stoke I have owned and holysh#t these thing rip!!

It has fmf fattys, no air box, jets are 290, run it on 98 octane with amsoil or klotz mix it 32:1 twist throttle

dyna ignition. those are all the mods that I know of.

1st question When it is idling it will idle good for 10-20 sec then just quite cold or hot. If I keep the throttle on just a hair it will idle forever. Now my dyna ignition has a little rectagle thing that has 4 setting stock, curves 2,3,4 it is set to stock do you guys see a problem with this or should I just adjust the carbs just enough to idle.

2nd question We all have that buddy that knows it all right. My buddy took the carbs of to get the jet # and when we put it back together and when I turn the gas pedock to the on position gas comes out of the carbs. What solution do you guys have?

1st kick buddy in nuts. 2nd remove carbs. 3rd kick buddy in nuts. 4th remove float bowls, check that float needle valve is correctly installed. 5th kick buddy in nuts. 6th replace float bowls, install carbs. 7th get Clymers manual. Seriously tho, check that floats are moving with bowls off, and the manual is the best tool you can get $20-$30.

You say it has twist throttle, do you have the idle screws with locknuts on the sides of the carbs?

Like these on the right of pic....http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=123

Try tapping your leaking carbs with the handle of a screwdriver etc. and see if it quits. If not you may have to pull them apart and check for debri in the needle/seat area.
