Burt Reynolds Posted July 19, 2009 Report Share Posted July 19, 2009 When you cleaned your carbs did you remove all the jets and the needle jet and the choke,and use carb cleaner and compressed air? Sounds to me like one of your pilot jets is clogged. I have even gone as far as taking a small safety pin and pushing it through the pilot to be sure nothing was lodged in there. slopoke Posted July 20, 2009 Report Share Posted July 20, 2009 FYI low compression also causes low vaccuum which translates into not pulling fuel in like it should hence holding you hand over the carb makes it pull.
