Larry's Shee
X-2 on Lakes Motorsports, have known Mike for years. Has helped me on several projects. Has a kick ass deal on E-bay. Don't remember exact details, but it was Weisco, bore, hone, champher ports, gaskets too I beleive, package deal. I think on his e-bay add he payed return shipping. Those of you not local check it out. BTW, he does the boring in house. Also, when I was in his shop couple weeks ago he was running a special on Weisco pistons. Another place in SE Mich is Vitos in Oxford. Have known Paul there for long time also. I think they also bore in house. These are the two I would recomend!! Larry's Shee
Lakes does porting, and also has a dyno.
shanYE west
Lakes does porting, and also has a dyno. Yeah, I know.. I used their Viper sleeves an had some dyno time. Its Lane's dyno if i'm not mistaken. I used to live right down the rd. from them on sashabaw. Lakes just isn't the first thing to pops into my head when someone wants porting. But Mike does great work.. ill vouch for it...

trickedcarbine
I've dealt with lakes also.. but I noticed he wanted a port job also.. lakes is pretty sweet at porting as well. I had those dicks at magics lose my cylinders and penny is super bi-polar so I never know how I'll get treated. FYI the cylinder incident was while chuck was there and he's gone now so I don't know how service is now, but I hear alot of their machine work is begining to trickle down the street over to mike at lakes. Plus after magics got my stuff back it was all jacked and hacked. Mikes wife assured me that he would help get it right and I'll never go any where else to get machining. Porting maybe..... but mike's stuff is way titties also screw tech care, all they want is your money and will practically make you pay for follow up tuning q&a

Hey fouledout, how were those viper sleeves, Mike mentioned them in case I was going to have to re sleeve before he ported my current set up, hear the exhaust is huge!!!! Dinner
I had my engine ported and rebuilt by RB. Rob does some good work, cheap and pretty quick turn around time. He's also great to deal with and get a hold of for any questions you have, etc.

If you "need" to resleeve and your not looking for a pure drag engine.. I suppose it might be a viable option... I wasn't overly excited about them. papa_smurf49319
ya i plan on rebuilding it myself, done it once before, just need a good machine shop to port and bore the cylinders. Looking for an aggresive trail port like herrjuggs offers. Something in the 250 range
