captainhowdie
I had an extra set of cylinders honed a few months ago. I was thinking about installing them, so i got em out of the box and they have some light surface rust inside the cylinders. My question is Do they have to be honed again or would it be ok to instal them? Is there an easy way to get the rust out without taking them to get honed again? And in the future is there anything i can do to prevent this from happening again? Any info would awsome and thanks in advance!

LiftdT4R
Post up some pics, but it should be ok to go easy with some steel wool to take off the rust.
captainhowdie
No pitting at all, just some light surface rust. I dont have a camera right now to post pics besides my phone and picture quality is garbage. Ill try the wd40 see if that works Edited June 27, 2009 by captainhowdie
