banshee idling and low speed problems

Recommended Posts

Post up your mods here, its alot easier. How many hours are on the bike, and did it start all of a sudden?

Could be a couple things, it could be that

1. Carb Jetting is incorrect

2. Carbs are really dirty and need to be rebuilt

3. Weak spark (take the plug out, turn off the gas, and let the plug with the wire attached rest against the head DONT HOLD IT, and kick the bike. You should see a fat blue spark)

4. Low Compression (if the bike has a lot of hours or the jetting was wrong for too long, the cylinder bore could be worn down and it may be time to rebuild)

engine has 12 hours on it since rebuild and mods installed minus the exhaust, the compression is higher than stock because of the milled head. don't know the exact reading. it's easy to kick over but impossible to start via kicking unless it's completely warmed up.

Milled head

wiseco high compression pistons

full pro circuit exhaust

barnett dirt digger clutch and basket

TORS eliminator (seems to like to run me into trees...)

and K&N 2 into 1 airbox.

yes i had these problems before i smoked the tree.

by the way anyone in canada have a stock lower left control arm they could sell me?

if you are having to jump start it, clean the battery cables and tap the starter. Let me know where you find em cause i'm sure mine need clening

OH YEA do not take for granted the compression is good just because it has 12 hours on it. CHECK IT!!!!
