bootlife
I just bought my first banshee, Whitch seems to be a new money pitt. To make a long story short, I had the top end rebuilt with 35mm pistions, it has fmf pipes cold air kit n aftermarket reeds. I had the carbs rebuilt. Now im spose to be able to ride it, lol. or not. It wont start with out adding fuel to the pistons, after it warms up it will only idle at bout 1/4 throttle any lower it dies. at 1/2 throttle it falls on its face, and its back fireing out the pipes when you work the throttle. if any body knows wats wrong please help. I put a 270 main jet in it frm a 200. fmf says there pipes call for a 260. is that the only jets i need to change? the others are stock, Thanks to the shop that did the carb rebuild. AKheathen
check for airleaks, and make sure the choke tube is in place. it's the little vaccuume hose coming from the back of the choke plunger directly across to the other carb. fastbanshee8
Take the carbs off, one at a time, pull the mains, and pilot jets out, and clean them with carb cleaner. FMF pipes seem to like a 27.5 pilot, and the stock one is 25.
