qcklys
Hey i've got an electrical problem on my banshee , sometime it fires sometimes it don't , i have done alot of test on it - coil tested bad i changed it, stator tested bad i changed it. The problem was still there so i decided to grind the coil tab bracket to make sure the ground is good, and it was still the same problem. I open all my wiring harness and found out i had like 6-7 cut wires so i repair every wire that was broken , but now it won't fire at all! i was wondering where the ground should be, cause i have that black wire coming out of the voltage regulator that is grounded to frame, i got the coil bracket which is suppose to be a ground , is there any other ground missing on my banshee? and is there a way to test the cdi??! Or anyone have an idea what it could be? BTW i have no more TORS and no more Key switch! anyway this is starting to piss me off! Lolll any Help would be appreciated !! thank you very much!! LiftdT4R
There are only 2 grounding points on the bike. 1- Under the voltage reg to the frame, and 2- Under the coils up front. There is no way to test a CDI other then swap in one that you know is good. When I was running into electrical problems with my bike, I pulled the entire harness, unwrapped it, made sure everything matched up, did away with all the TORS shit, and wrapped it back up. I havent had an electrical problem since. The electrical fAq is awesome, and this: http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/banshwdc2.jpg picture is especially helpful. It gives you the bare bones of what you would need to do to make the bike run.
ohiobanshee
Make sure your frame is clean where your grounds go.
