Bought another Shee

Recommended Posts

So I picked up a K&T built 421 4mil. for next to nothing. Guy needed money quick, got the title and all. Anyways it's an 01 with the above motor. It has V Force reeds, billet cages and adapters, 36mm PWK's, K&N Pods, Aggressive port and polish on stock cylinders and a stock milled head. It starts right up, but won't idle ( I completely went through the carbs and cleaned etc yesterday ) It runs, but seems to be on the fat side. I have 165 mains and 58 pilots right now as that's what it came with. It has the FMF Fatty Gold Series pipes on it but I am going to put my CPI inframes in it so I am just looking for some ideas on getting this shit jetted close.

I think I will give them a call. Problem is i don't have all of the specifics on the motor, guy I got it from didn't have it built so he's just "relaying" info from the PO. I would like to try it on my own and if that means little by little, that's what I will do. I will take your numbers and give them a shot. Thanks for the help.

Tore the top end off yesterday to see what was all in it. I noticed that the compression on 1 side was wayyyy off. Everything checked good until I looked at the reeds. 2 petals on the side giving me issues were almost burned to a crisp. The were stuck open about 1/16th of an inch. Now I just need to order some replacement petals for the V Forces.

Are they burned up or chipped? Make sure none of that crap got into your motor too.
