CajunDuner
I just switched from racing 4-strokes to a Banshee....so i need a lil help guys. I put on some clamp on K&Ns and now theres no place to put my coolant bottle but a buddy of mine that drags banshees said that on all of his he just cuts the over flow tube and runs it down by his radiator and if some spews it just goes straight to the ground and im guessing he yanks the other tube which i think is just a vent hose. What are yalls opinions on that because i know there are water bottle relocator kits you can find at Rocky Mountain. Another thing...my bike is stock (jetting included) and it was running really good before i put on those clamp ons (other than the floats sticking) and now it runs like total shit and gets hot real quick...im guessing i have to rejet?? I just didnt think they would lean the bike out that bad. Anyways any opinions would be great guys!
slopoke
don't run it any more till you rejet it. You will ruin a good motor. These folks on here can prob get you real close on jetting as far as numbers. Take the overflow off and run the hose of of the way so you still will be able to see it just in case it spews water. Toss the overflow and rejet, with the K&N filters your getting a lot more air and the bike is running lean which = hot.
bansheejuggalo
Try vitos they have a bottle bracket for that
springer
toss the bottle, remove and re-route all the ugly hoses, relocate the electronics. it really cleans the bike up. also, rejet. almost all the way to the bottom of this page has some guidlines on how much to change your main jet. prolly different for everyone, but good place to start. http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/jetfaq.html
GrMeyer
I just cut off the little back part of the old air box that where the bottle mounts to....then I got a 3LED light and put it below the bottle as for my rear tail light...So all in all there are the two bolts and i still keeps the overflow/catch can in the stock place
