im takin my cylinders in to get bored today and im not sure if i should just do that and the head or say hell wit the head for now and get my cylinders ported. or what if i do it all???? im just not sure. is porting worth all that money? :evil: is it gonna turn it into a fire breathing beast??? :evil:

If youre going to do it, do right! If you get it ported to your style of riding by someone who knows their stuff you will never regret it. I could not possibly be happier with the results from my HJR port job. There are several builders out there that seem to do a great job, just personal preference, turn around time, price, etc, that goes into making your decision. If you can find someone close to you that has a good rep then you wont have to worry about shipping since price is an issue. One thing though, getting the head shaved and bumping the timing up will really complement the port job.

fuck it ill do it all. u guys are right this an addiction. ive only ridden mine once and im already sinkin money into it. i just dropped the head and jugs off to get the work done. puttin the timing plate on this weekend. shouldnt have any trouble makin the 400z that beat me look silly now.

im running 260 mains right now im at 2000 ft. after my port and bore and shaving my head should i change my jetting? i was gonna leave my lid on but open up the top of it a bit. would a 290 be enough? also i have the timing advance of +4
