dave5.0
I've got a Passion 12 port 4 mill with all the goodies running on Avgas. At the moment the swinger is stock. I've got a +4 axle and I think +3 a-arms. I do all kinds of riding with it. Trails, sand, drag, hill climbing, all the usual stuff. I'm thinking about going with a +2. Don't want to lose any all around riding but want it to come out of the hole better when dragging. I use a set of 4 snows and also a set of 21" 10 paddle Extremes. Any recomendations? MikeNick
+2..No more than that for trails..
sheerider1026
yea, +2 is all you need.. i have been down this road.. i used a +2 for a long time, then went to a +4, then immediately back to a +2.. the +4 just killed it for trail riding.. going from the +2 to the +4 made so much diference it totally sucked in the woods.. so, i vote for +2.. lol.. at least for our type of riding.. I thought you might chime in. I've got another guy telling me just the oposite. He says don't go less than a +4. Don't know that he trail rides much though. I think I'll end up with one of those fleabay +2s that the one guy showed me in my wanted post. They are about the cheapest and best looking ones I've seen so far. Supposed to be unbreakable too. Can't beat that.

I bought one of those ebay +2 swingarms for a blaster I used to have......worth every bit of the 200$ they sell for. the powdercoating is slick and the swingarm itself is pretty beefy. the rear tabs where the carrier bolts on is thicker then the stock swingarm tabs. if you dont want to spend much money then they are a good choice. madjimmax
I trail ride with +4 all the time never really had a problem unless the trails where super tight, But then again a Banshee aint really the bike for super tight trails anyway unless you like to ride around in first gear, But as for me I also do some hill climbing and for that the +4 cant be beat. If you are going to any place with a lot of hills dont go with something too short you will regret it every time you try to climb a hill. And if you want to do any drag racing the longer swingarm will allow you to leave a little harder without having to worry about wheelieing. Good luck. Bansh-eman
You might look at not using such an aggressive paddle if you want to spin the tires a little mroe dragging. IMO a +2 is pointless, I don't think you are going to notice much of a differance over stock.
desertdeweller
I just added +2 to my bike haven`t had it on the trails yet, but I don`t think I am going to like it for trails. Just running it up and down the street it does take a lot more effort to wheely it. which can be good and bad for the trails depending on the situation. The one thing I did notice is the lack of braking from the rear end now. I have to slide back a lot further on the seat to try to keep traction on the rear to stop. If its that bad on asphalt I am sure the loose dirt around here will be horrible to stop it. But I will try it and see.

dave5.0
Well I bought the +2 fleabay unit. The day after that another guy that makes custom ones offered me a nice deal. Figures. I'll see how this one works out. Hopefully if will be ok. Thanks for the input.
dave5.0
Got my swinger the other day. Looks like a nice piece. Haven't had a chance to get it on yet. I'm going to run it for a little while and see how I like it. If it works out good I'm going to see about getting my carrier and maybe a-arms coated to match. I got the silvervein one. Not sure if I have to go back to this guy so it will match or not. I assume it's like paint where nothing's the same. I'm in the same situation as you with riding trails, duning, hill climbs, etc., is the +2 enough or do you wish you went with the +4? I think he really liked the +2, but coming from a stocker, who wouldn't! I have the +4 and I really like it, but for trails and flat track I would prefer a +2. Anything else I'll keep my +4. dave5.0
I know this is alot late. Just going through old posts and found this one. Sorry guys. I like the +2 for drag racing. For trail riding it's alot harder to get the front end up. But i've got another bike for trail riding now so not an issue. The last time i dragged it it was nice. The front end stayed about 6" up for a while and didn't try to kill me with a set of 10 paddle haulers on it. Actually alittle too stable for my taste in play riding. Worked pretty good for drag racing with my setup though.
dave5.0
I'm thinkin it's a preference thing. You could ride trails with a +12 if you wanted but I wouldn't like it much. I'd really like to trail ride with a stock swinger. I'm all about the wheelies when ever you want. The more swinger the harder that is. Just my thing.
