BigRed350x
I've got a 4mil K&T ported stock cylinder banshee that I'm considering selling. Just wanted to see how much interest is out there. Not totally sure on selling it yet, but I might if someone is really interested. 4mil stroke 110mil rod stock cylinders ported by K&T. Not a full on drag port, more of a high end dune port. shearer pipes 17cc domes, cool head billet adjustable timing plate 35mm billet intakes 35mm alky / meth carbs w/ K&N filters +6 stock style swinger chrome front a-arms (minus one arm that was replaced with a stock silver color arm) +2 axle with billet hubs (not sure on brand) brand new braided steel throttle cable brand new rear brakes... braided steel line, new master cylinder, new pads. Fun bike and runs really strong. Freaking awesome on the hillclimbs at walden. Bike has a new top end on fresh bore. I've only been out on it once since the heat cycles. "Theshee" has ridden it and can tell you about how it runs. I've got a trip planned the weekend of the 13th if anyone wants video of it running against some other bikes. $2900 OBO Feel free to make some offers. Again, I'm not totally set on selling it yet, just seeing how much interest is out there or what offers I can stir up. - Jared

dajogejr
That's actually a very good price... For someone thinking of this at or near sea level, probably want to change out the domes to something in the 19 to 21cc range, 17's are a bit much for those at lower elevations. BigRed350x
LOC, I got your PM, but BHQ isn't letting me respond to PM's. Its only letting me send one PM per day, so shoot me an email to BigRed350x@gmail.com and I'll get back to you. But to answer your questions, yes its a methanol bike. With the 17cc domes the comrpession is too high for running on gas. I'm at 8500ft elevation, and if you take the bike to a lower elevation the compression will get even higher. Methanol / Alky is about the only fuel you can run in it right now without changing the domes. If you get a hold of kim at K&T he can make you a custom set of domes for your altitude and get it set up for gas if that's what you want to do with it. The way this bike is set up right now its probably putting around 70-80hp to the ground on methanol. I haven't had it on a dyno, so that's just a guess. Radar Racing.... I am going on a dune trip the weekend of the 13th. Genoa is a bit of a far drive for me to go just to show a bike without a definite buyer. Genoa is about an 8-10hr drive for me. I will post up videos and more pictures of the bike showing how it runs after our dune trip. Dajogejr.... Thanks! Very true, the bike would definitely need larger domes if its going to be ridden at lower altitudes or if a buyer wants to run it on gas. - Jared
