Hilarious
i need to replace the seal but i dont know how to get the shaft out. can anyone help? you dont have to remove the shift shaft to replace the seal. remove the shift lever, remove stator cover and use a pick to get the seal out....

Toomey Banshee
ive tried but i cant find a way to grab onto it I just did mine last month. I just put it on its side, took off the shifter, side cover and foot peg and used a small screwdriver to wedge it out. Pretty easy.
2001Stroker
That's about the easiest way to do it. If you can't get it that way, drain the oil, drain the coolant, take off the clutch cover, and the shift shaft pulls right out that side. fastrthnu
for fuck sake just screw a few pointed non self tapping drywall screws into it and pull on them at the same time with pliers and it comes right out. If its REALLY in there melt the frikin thing with a torch.
