There is a thread on here somewhere about modifying your stock reed cage and puttin in 2 stage carbon fiber reeds...That'd be your best bet man.

chariot cages with boyesen power reeds. I think they're about $150 for the set.

or if your just looking to upgrade the stock cages you can get the power reeds for $50 or somthing like that.

I have a set of the CHariot cages and they are super nice...

Boyeseen pro series dual stage reeds on a mid-top motor. Carbon tech low or mid tension on a low-mid motor.

hmm... those boysen pro reeds, like the ones in mikenick's pic really performed low-mid for me, and have less top end than stock. imho, carbon fibre reeds are more of a mid-top.

there's no rubber on the chariot cages? just anodized aluminum for the reeds to slap? or am i not seeing a coating?

As mikenick said, porting your stock cages and putting some 2 stage reeds on, carbon tech if its a low to mid bike will work good, I have had good luck with this and depending on application performs as well as VF3's because the V-forces are more of a top end mod

We have never had a set of cages returned or ever had a problem with not having rubber. V force don't have rubber either. My guess is that the aftermarket reeds are stable enough that they don't need rubber to cushion them. In any case we have sold a lot of cages and never heard of a problem.

Carbon Tech makes low tension, mid tension, and high tension reeds. They all serve a different area of the power curve. Boyeseen reeds will increase power to some extent over the entire range, but focus mainly mid-top. The carbon tech mids will focus more on the midrange than anything else. The low tensions focus on the bottom end more than anything else. Even the boyeseen reeds use carbon fiber, so this alone does not just limit the reed. The range it serves has to do with petal thickness, the rev plates on the cage, and the reed petal cut out relief for the tabs.

Them are dual stage power reeds... The pro series use a carbon fiber top reed and a epoxy lower.

Snop did alot of testing a bunch of different products on a dyno. I'm sure what he told you is dyno proven.

You can just get the boysen power reeds and match the reed blocks to the pedals for a good little gain.. a fair bit of aluminum can be filed out of the block to make the reeds line up better..

I dont like advertising that I like my TDR reeds (because I hate the company) but Im happy with how they perform... I'm using the"thicker" expoxy reeds on my 4mm.. I ported the hell out of my cages.. and took the middle bar right out.. I havn't had any issues yet with over 2 years on them..
