2001Stroker
I edit my last post. Mine's almost just like yours, but a 3 seater. It'll go about 48ish. Not bad for it's age.

2001Stroker
I'm not a big fan of the colors on mine. It's partially sanded down, and primed right now. I'm thinking about going with the same colors as my Banshee.

2001Stroker
I can't tell in your pics if it does or not, but mine has the motor mounts in it for the 700cc, 2cyl, and the 1100cc, 3cyl. The only thing you change is the exhaust manifold and the pump shaft. I'm thinking about finding an 1100cc on eBay, and throwing it in. Not sure though. official_style
whats the hp of the 3cyl? ill take a look and see if mine has other mounts in it tomorrow.
2001Stroker
I can't remember what the hp is on the 3cyl. Actually, I just looked at some of my pics. There's a hose fitting coming off the back of the head (i think that's your blue hose). That's the water hose hook-up. That's all it's for, nothing else. It's my brother's SeaDoo that has a t fitting.
2001Stroker
This is before I took the engine out of it, and freshened it up and cleaned the hull out. So, don't mind the oil slobbered all over it from the oil injector hose busting. lol. You can see in the bottom center where the motor mount is bolted to the hull. The empty spot to the left of it, is for the motor mount for the 1100.
Profilact
WHAT!? Hell no. The water has to be running before you run it. You also don't shut it off until after the motor's off. If not, you burn up the water pump. Ok. So hook the water up to your ski, turn it on, and walk away. What will happen? Ever tried to tow a ski over 10 mph? I agree, if it is done your way within a few seconds, there will be no problems. But I would not. http://www.sbtontheweb.com/forum/showthread.php?t=12000 Read the thread a little, don't just watch the video. There is some important information left out in it. Profilact
what do you guys think about the oil injection system on this thing? im thinking of just killing it and running premix, since its an old ski, and thats just one more thing that could go wrong. i dont really like the idea of not knowing the oil injection is fucked till the motor blows. so does toomey make pipes for these things lol stroker what kind of ski do you have? are these motors pretty reliable? They are reliable. They work off of vacuum from the carburetors. Typically what goes wrong is the hoses crack or break, or the diaphragms in the carb get worn out on the oil side and do not pull anymore. Other than that they are bullet proof. Would the ski still run if the oil "injection" system was crap?
Christada
We have a kawasaki 750.. it is lucky to get up to 40.. that's with the water like glass.. 2001Stroker
Nobody ever said to turn the water on and walk away. What I meant was, turn the water on, and crank it right up. Water flowing through the water pump keeps it from burning up.
official_style
so far i have ordered a primer kit and oil block off plate. i think ill get a ride plate and an intake grate, and then im good.
blowit
The hose kit for the skies are designed only to flush out salt water from the water system of the ski, not to be run out of the water. Dumping cold water in an engine can create big problems. I recommend running for no more than 30sec intervals out of water, then getting it in the water or a test tank as the pump pressurizes the water in the motor to reduce air pocket concerns. The RA1100 motor was a 110HP motor out of the box but can be easily tweaked to 150HP. The wave raiders had a pretty narrow hull which reduced drag at top speed thus they can get some good top end but suffer in stability. Personally, even though I am not a huge fan of oil injection, it is a very smart invention and I would leave it on. Those things use enough oil and fuel as it is. Reducing oil use at idle is important for plug fouling issues as well. I will agree that the whole system could be turned down just a touch. Yamaha really puts the oil to them out of the box but the motors last forever. B
