sandman1
I just bought a Shee in pieces and am going to rebuild it. I bought a used crank off ebay but noticed that the space between the rods and the counter weights are different on the two sides. Can I close the gap with a press or how can I fix the problem? Also does any one know where I can dowload a free service manual? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

spurdy
surely somebody here knows about Banshee cranks If your crank is separating you don't wan to run it. Send it back and get a refund. It will cost you more to have it rebuilt then what you can buy a used one for. Pressing it back together isn't wise either. It could very well be out of phase. When you get another one get it welded so that doesn't happen! Good luck. SP
jbooker82
If the bearings feel good then. I would call jeff at FAST and explain to him what you have. He would should be able to press it back together and true it up and tig weld it so it doesn't seperate or twist out of phase. Yea you could press it back together and weld it your self but if it isn't true or in phase you could get a nasty vibration. Jeff is a good guy to do business with. I will let you ride my banshee so you can see what you think of his port work. His screen name on here is FASTOYS www.farmandsandtoys.com Josh
