Weird Question about cooling...

Recommended Posts

So say you make a couple hard runs up the sand hill...you know your bikes hot right? So say if your stopping on the top on your last run....would it be better to let your bike idle, or just kill it? to let it cool faster....always wondered this. cause you can kill the fire or keep the coolant flowing...which would be better for the bike...kill it or idle it?

Sorry for the retarded ass question just always think about it for some reason...

Leaving a Banshee idling will make it overheat for sure, because you have no air flow.... best is to stop at the top and point into the wind if possible. That will cool the rad quick but not the engine, so wait a couple minutes and fire it up for about 30 seconds to circulate the coolant, then shut it down and wait a couple more and you should be good to go.
