ok i get that u gotta stay on the throttle but when we raced we tried from a dead stop and no win. then we were rolling along eaven and both gave er at the same time and he just pulled away. i hit it and shifted as fast as i could it was screaming i dont car who is riding it there is something that isnt right. im not the best rider but im not bad enough to be beat by a 400z. i should be able to play with it shouldnt i? i held it to the bar and it wasnt gonna rev anymore and he was pullin away quick. imo there should be no competition.

your right,,,there shouldnt be the slightest problem at all,,,even with a stock banshee you should pull away heavily against a stock 400 4 stroke. if it runs and revs good,,,you have gotta be having clutch isuess to where its not engaging all the way and slipping badly. is there any play in the clutch lever or is it tight?

ok,,,im drunk and tired so....the reasom i asked about the clutch lever is if there isnt a little play the cutch will not disengage all the way causing you to burn some shit up, i had this same problem with my first shee andf thought it ran strong,,,after i hadthe clutch replaced there was a noticable differance,,,,i still cant see a stock 400 beating me tho cause i raced a heavily modded 400ex and i had a bad clutch, junk tires, and only pipes on my previous banshee and smoked him badly,,,,,,

i think some one on here once said that the best mod is seat time. and to practice and practice until your bike is one kick ass extension of yourself!

how bout this,,,,have the guy you raced switch quads with you and see how the banshee does then,,,then you will know if its you,,,or the bike,,,,,lmao,,,,this should be interesting,,,,,,,,,

im not questioning my riding ability i know i can ride well enough to beat the 400. eaven if i was a shitty rider i should be able to catch up once i hit 6th but he just kept pullin away.

ill have a look at the clutch today but doesnt feel like its slipping. should i be running a 280 or a 300 main? im thinkin a 260 is too small. would running lean make that much difference?

you think its your jetting its not. maybe the 400 is modded but your friend is liying to you. and yah i start in 3rd im 130lbs i can start in 5th on pavment with 4psi in my tires with holeshots and still spinn them. but you should feel if your clutch is slipping by cruzing in gear and flooring it and if you dont have any pickuo or its slacking and the motor reves up a bit before you take off its your clutch but yah tire diffrence matters. if he had paddles on sand and you have razrs your loosing. practice your driving your quad shouldnt be lossing. and switch bikes like someone else said that should be intresting
