4g92mit
hey guys, My banshee is fully stock & I'm about 150m above sea level & ride with the snorkel off.the problem is keeps on dripping petrol from the left carb overflow pipe.i cleaned out the carbs & the floats are working but i still have the problem,& its not slow driping nearley poring & there is nothing wrong with the fuel shut off valve. The other problem is there is a lot more exhaust smoke coming out of the right exhaust pipe & little out of the left one. the left one is also backfiring a bit too when i rev it high.there's less compression of air from the left pipe coming out. It had a top end done 6 months ago & little use since, well that's what the last owner said but he had receipts. Any ideas?
06specialedition
On the carb leaking.......Either you need to adjust the float height, or clean the float needle. If you
fastbanshee8
If the carb still overflows after all that stuff is checked, you will need to replace the needle, and seat above the floats, in both carbs. Also, check to make sure both air mixture screws are adjusted the same number of turns open. They should be between 1.5, and 2 turns open. Pull the main jets, and pilots jets out of both carbs, and spray carb cleaner through them, and make sure they have no blockages in them.
