Am i way to rich?

Recommended Posts

We put the motor back together friday and here is a list of things i have done to the motor, k&n filter, 30mm carbs, prodesign intakes with out cross over tube, ported, cool head with 21cc domes, new pistons, bore, seals in lower end, + 4 on timing, and new stator and flywheel.

We did the break in and all, now while riding it around just trying to put some more break in time on it it bogs extremely, and does not want to wind up into the power band. When i get out on the road and if it does ever get into the power band the right side seems to not fire but when i let off the gas a little bit it does fire. It is smoking like a frieght train so i am guessing the jetting is pretty rich, i can't rememeber what jets i have in it. I have switched plug wires, closely monitored the water level and tranny fluid levels to make sure that i am not burning any oil or anti freese and did a compression check and both cylinders read dead on same, plug change really didn't help either. I couldn't go buy jets since stealership wasn't open today so figured i would check for other problems. think this is jut a chase of being way to rich?
