Alysiak00
was out on the trails yesterday and the bike stopped moving. engine runs but i think i smoked the clutch. the clutch will engage the pully by the shifter but i look into the case and the basket doesn't move. anyone got any ideas. i think i might have fused the plates together...oops. the bike will roll freely in any gear, its almost like its stuck in neutral Edited May 3, 2009 by Alysiak00
Alysiak00
I kind of worded that incorrectly, the bike will go into gear but it just rolls...i am so stumped on what could be wrong
Bansh-eman
ok let me get this straight... you put it in any gear and it does roll or it does not? From what I gathered it sounds like it just sits there when in any gear... is that correct? When you pull the clutch lever is there any pressure on it? TNTS355
You SMOKED the clutch. I had the same thing happen to me when I was ripping across the dunes. When you take it down check your basket for grooves and if you dont have a pancake bearing in there spend the $50 for the insurance.
