BellicoseBanshee Posted May 3, 2009 Report Share Posted May 3, 2009 The crank seals have a rib around them that sit in a groove in the cases. You must split the cases to properly install the seals. The sprocket shaft seal, shift shaft seal, and clutch arm seals do not have a rib, and can be removed and replaced without splitting the cases. shee23 Posted May 3, 2009 Report Share Posted May 3, 2009 sorry to jump in on this post but i had a ? about my seals. i installed new ones about 4 months ago and now im building a 4 mil so i have to split my cases again does that mean i need new seals?
