4mill cubs

Recommended Posts

Were is the best place to buy my 4mill Cheetah Cub cly and new crank???

There are several sponsors of this site that could take care of that. Over the years I have gotten all my stuff from F.A.S.T. Racing. Competative prices, a one stop shot, and a hell of a friendly and knowledgable guy. Hit him up.

I'd call Jeff or Kevin (FAST and HJR).

A nice thing about them is they're gonna tell you things you NEED that you don't think about.

For example...plugs and stud extenders.

You need them both to run a cub. Someone just selling you a cylinder and crank might not tell you.

They will make sure you have the right head or domes for the motor, because a 68 bore cub with Wiseco pistons (573m6800) have a different dome angle than a stock banshee piston, so you'll need your head cut accordingly, or purchase the correct domes.

It's the little stuff like that you may take for granted, but they don't....

Lastly, make sure whomever you buy the stuff from REWELDS the 4 mil crank if it's a hot rod crank. They come welded from the factory, but they're not welded very good. I'm sure Jeff and Kevin would tell you they've seen the factory welds fail...and that is NEVER pretty.

Dajog pretty well summed it up. I have seen numerous times where someone bought cubs off ebay or some bargain basement deal and then had to order several other things from somewhere else to complete the build. Also, often they slap it together and it doesnt run up to par as they dont have the setup correct and/or were misinformed on components etc... Buy from a reputable builder and get it all from one place and you will be happier in the long run.

Definatly get everything from one spot. Makes life easier. I will soon start building my 4mil cub and I am for sure going to use f.a.s.t or HJR. From reading around on this site and even emailing kevin @HJR a few times there work and customer service is top notch.
