He offered me a good deal on a banner for his site, to link to jdscustoms.com I went thru with it, but now I am not linking the attitude/ethics of what he is representing. The only question I have is WHY? What is the pint hillclimbr, why start drama, why threaten, why be immature enough to take it to this level? Loco, I'm sure you've pissed a few people off for whatever reason, but really, who cares? If its that big of a deal to you, you have WAY WAY WAY bigger issues! He has never done anything to me but good, but Loco, as the head dude here, Id say so what you want. If you feel the integrity of the site is threatened, then I say do it. But, whats to stop him from creating another name in 2 seconds? Hillclimbr, make shit right man. Get over whatever grudge you have here man, this site has SO much to offer. Not that he is going to take it down with spammer or anything. Hillclimbr also said that about 20 guys have canceled their membership in the last couple weeks. Now all you guys are jumping on Hillclimbr for threating the HQ but dont forget that Loco told a spammer flat out "here is a link to a site to go spam". So what the difference between the two? Is it that since this is the great and powerful Bansheehq its alright to threating a smaller up and coming website? Look, I like this site alot but there has been alot of BS over here that gets old quick. There is a great amount of knowledge here and a lot of greta guys who know their shit. Just seems like you have to wad through a lot more BS now to get to it. I have only been here about a year and just in that time it has gotting worse. So back to the subject, I say dont ban him. Question is where does a person draw the line? Like most of the other guys in that other thread I took what Loco said with a grain of salt, that was my bad. However, I cant blame Tyler for assuming the worse when he gets a PM stateing what it did.. I think thats kind of the straw that broke the cammels back.. Like I said I have had one on one pm's and such with climber and he has been a good guy for the most part. HOWEVER recently there has been some serious off the wall shit comming out of him. He has been alloud to promote his site while most any other would not allow it. I agree there has been allot of BS for a while now and its getting worse but to a degree its always been that way here.. Kind of a double edged sword when you have a site with little censorship. I have been talking to Tyler and hope to start making some serious changes with the site as he is getting to have more freedom.. Ill agree that Tyler does get a little crazy at times.. But thats the way he is and always has been. On the other side of things he has also helped a great deal of members. To be totaly honest I would say in the line of parts, allot of info(especially when I was new) and some other misc situations he has come through and really helped out.. Some of you are flaming him for this very topic. I think in this situation he has actually done the right thing in bringing all you in to ask your opinion.. Most sites climber would be history with no explanation or nothing. If members are leaving due to one person thats shame, but no matter who does what or how, someone will disagree or get pissed off. I wish all this would have never come to this as like I said before, climbr and I have talked, decent guy. And Tyler, although comes off as a prick most the time is a damn good guy.. Otherwise with this issue aside chill out and let the mods work on the site a bit. I think most of you will be happy with some of the changes that are around the corner.. On the Monthly Newsletter post, i think loco could of responded to mattew in a professional manner. But that's not your style, yeah there times for your funny ass rude and asshole like comments, thats when your being a member. You where being a moderator at that time so i didn't think that was the time and place for those comments. Ok, so the issue at hand, loco might have fucked up by telling that dude to spam hillclimbr, even if it was a joke, but hillclimbr REALLY FUCKED up by threating the HQ with spammers and his petty ass threats. That just made hillclimbr look like a lil elementry school baby right along with his website. And what was up with post #25, screen name hillclimbrsentme, posting you asked for it. That is really fucked up. You don't bite the hand that feeds you. If a member pissed me off for what ever reason, i would defentially talk shit back. But I would never under any circumstance talk shit about HQ or threaten the site when it has fed me good info and nothing but help, thats just bad blood. This old forum is known for NOT banning members. I can only remember a handful of bannings and they were all justifiable. I think only a few things should constitute banning. Threatening the forum software is one of those good reasons. And I totally dig the idea that Loco asked for the forum's opinions. We are lucky that our head guy has enough humility and respect for us that he would ask for our opinions. It also gives Hillclimbr and his friends an opportunity to say what they think. Some of the guys that were saying that "Loco doesn't represent the BHQ very good because of his attitude". I remember Loco once saying that if he had to change the way he spoke, that he didn't want his moderator job anymore. I think that is 100% the right attitude. Who the hell wants to come to a forum and NOT be yourself just for the sake of other peoples opinions. What you see is what you get. This is my take on the "loco spamming comment" situation. I really didn't follow this particular argument that close, a lot of the story was never stored in the memory, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. Those who say that "loco sent people to spam HC first". The claim is wrong because its taken out of context. Yes, loco said something along those lines, but in context you would know that the past history had these guys busting each others balls all the time, and there was plenty of normal, calm conversations too. The majority of it was harmless fun . HC dished it out and Loco dished it out and it was all fun to read. So one day, there's another thread where HC and Loco start ball busting each other like usual.... and Loco said something like "send spammers at HC" and that was fine and funny, a bunch of smiley were used..... HC busted on Loco's some more and everyone was fine and it seemed very harmless to me. A few days later HC's forum get some spammers or something, and immediately its assumed that Loco sent spam-people to attack HC's forum. Is there any real proof ? Did Loco actually get that mad at HC that he went to some place on the internet where you can sign up forum's to receive spam, and sign up HC's site ? I really don't think so. Im not convinced. I think HC's spam problems and Loco's spam comment were a coincidence. I think every forum gets spammers and hackers fucking around. This forum gets em, why wouldn't HC's forum get em ? It happens, its the internet. There's no secret Loco-spam-plot to destroy HC's forum. Loco's spam comment to HC was an off-the-cuff remark with obvious comedic intentions and very clearly not a real threat. HC's recent threat was not made as an off-the-cuff, ball-busting remark in the middle of an obscure thread. Instead it was a direct and clear threat. When people argue on the internet its usually harmless, but there are moral lines that adults don't cross. I think the line has been crossed. And like Loco said, its not the first time its been crossed. I had to think about it, but I voted to ban him.
